This was one of those moments in the kitchen where I put together this sauce is a hurry, (which happens a lot) and then I told myself that I was going to write down the proportions right away. Making a solid dipping sauce can be super easy and quite difficult at the same time. If the flavors aren't just so it can throw the whole dish off yet it's one of those items that once made, at the very last minute, you never look back. So many good dipping sauce recipes have been lost but it wasn't happening again!
This version evolved out of wanting to make a simple soy glazed tilapia.
This sauce is a great marinade for any kind of seafood or poultry. Let your protein marinade and then bake or grill as you please!
INGREDIENTS
1/4 cup Kikomman Low Sodium Soy Sauce
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon TJ's coconut palm sugar
1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
1 teaspoon fresh grated garlic
1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil (if using as a dipping sauce)
PROCESS
Add all the ingredients on a mason jar, close the lid and shake.
Let the flavors marinade for for about 30 minutes before using!
